Group Info

Those in their 60's and 70's

It seems there's a lack of people for this age group. If you'd like, we can start a group just for us where we can make new friends, share our concerns, a good joke or, just talk about our families, and things that interest us. How about it?

Nice to have you join us Larry! What nursing were you doing? Are you married? I'm busy caring for Lu while our carer is away for 3 days, enjoyed contacting others since leaving school!

Hi Guin, The proper term is CRYPTOCOIN MINING - where a new kind of currencies are made by computers. Highly mathematical & there are only a few honest sites that I know of. They can be mined at home with special machines. The major advantage of many cryptocurrencies is that they appreciate in value instead of depreciate - like most countries currencies. Many thousands of businesses already accept these currencies - like Bitcoin, Litecoin & Ethereum as means of payment, on & off the computer. I've been in this for about 3 years, but have not invested much so don't have much saved yet. Thanks for thinking of us & prayers. Greetings there.Hi Guin, The proper term is CRYPTOCOIN MINING - where a new kind of currencies are made by computers. Highly mathematical & there are only a few honest sites that I know of. Hi Chris. I wonder why not many people come to this site and on a regular basis. I am glad you wrote. I didn't come back right away after I emailed you the first time because I would come back everyday and there was no post from anyone. I guess I'm asking too much. I would love to have someone to talk to everyday or every other day. Oh well, perhaps one day. I remembered you and your family in my prayers. The term "mining" the internet is interesting. I had never heard of it. What do you do exactly when you "mine" the internet? I am not as knowledgeable of all technology but I know what I want to know. You will master it all in no time. Well, again, thank you for writing. Sorry to take so long to respond. I will start coming back here daily. Take care.Hi Chris. I wonder why not many people come to this site and on a regular basis. Guin - Lorraine has had Muscular Dystrophy since birth, at 68 in September her condition now is at an advanced stage. We have her Mum close by too at 91 in November - so there's plenty to do! I've been into Cryptocoin for some years; nothing significant in return yet but a little persistence & patience has it coming slow & sure, to do with "mining" on the internet. I've never been an internet marketer, well - I'm starting to learn now! It still seems strange to me - living close to so many baldies & being one of them!Guin - Lorraine has had Muscular Dystrophy since birth, at 68 in September her condition now is at an advanced stage. Hi Chris. I'm Guin. For years I have been hoping to connect here with people from my age. I live in the U.S.A. (Michigan), and have been teaching college-level English for 16 years. Michigan weather is always unpredictable, but this year it has been exceptionally unpredictable. We had warm (well, warm for Michigan) weather in April, and then one day we had snow flurries. Still, I am a native Michigander and I love it. If you don't mind, I will remember you and your family in my prayers. You said you keep busy on the computer. Mind sharing what you do? I have mobility issues. Even though I still teach, I don't go out much because it is not as easy to get around as it once was. However, I am still grateful to be mobile. Hope you write back soon.Hi Chris. I'm Guin. For years I have been hoping to connect here with people from my age. I live in the U.S.A. Sorry not to continue contact here – only recently had emails of what is happening! We have lovely 'Autumn' days on the 'heel of Africa' & are making good friends in our gated village for retirees. Lorraine & her mum are still the same – needing lots of care, patience & love. We have meetings in our home – with some freinds sometimes - being unable to leave the village together, except for medical reasons. I keep busy on the computer when not nursing slowly working up an income as my pension is running rather low. I've always enjoyed sincere contact with others, so lets keep them coming here to start with!Sorry not to continue contact here – only recently had emails of what is happening! If we are writing now, I would love to hear from someone in this group. The last time I was hear was last year (March 2016) and no one wrote. As Alick said, it would be great if we were around for each other.

We're older and bolder. But we need to be around for each other when disability strikes. Because from then on to our demise it can be miserable, and we shouldn't be expecting the young fit active ones with job and family responsibilities to look after us. Being around for each other can best be done at a local level for practical purposes, but at the level of support for our emotions and spiritual health, a site like this can be a big benefit. So let's keep in touch. We're older and bolder. But we need to be around for each other when disability strikes. Hi there. I would love for this group to be active. Last time I was on "epal world" I kept writing and writing but there was no response. I want to try it again. Let's talk!

Morning everyone. Well the end of the year is getting closer and closer. We've already hit the half way mark for November. Where does the time go? I really thought that once I retired that time would drag on. But that's just not the case. It seems I keep busy enough that my days go by fast.Morning everyone.
